05/12/2006 | My choice for governor. I actually donated a hundred dollars to his campaign early on. He's a classic unreconstructed liberal - we don't have many of them anymore. He's also a very good person, willing to bring third parties into the debates. Good ethics. Very articulate.
I'm also slightly motivated by the image of a skinny four-eyed geek taking out the Terminator.
However, he may have been looking too far ahead and let Westley sneak up on him in the polls. Westley has barraged the airwaves with his ads, while Angelides has been preserving resources for the run against Schwarzenegger. He's come on strong lately, but I don't know if he can make up the lost ground in just a few weeks.
