I'm tired of all these references to alternative fuel sources being "Green", suggesting complete environmental friendliness and harmony. Hybrids and Ethanol vehicles are both better for the environment than our current gas guzzlers, but neither one is what I would consider "clean" (should they perfect Hydrogen technology, that would be a clean technology). Besides, the effect of cars on the environment is nothing compared to the "damage" the planet does to itself. A single large volcanic eruption, say the kind that seems to happen about every 3 to 4 years, produces more greenhouse gasses than all automobiles combined in their 100+ year history. We are but dust in the wind at this point. We'd like to think we make a difference, good or bad, but it's hardly the truth. I hate commercials like this. It drives home a falsehood as though this car is somehow going to single-handedly save an environment that doesn't need saving. The environment is fine. Why save trees? There are more trees in America now than there were in the 1800s! Why use less greenhouse gasses? There isn't a hole in the ozone layer... if there were, we'd already be DEAD! The idiot scientist who predicted there would be a hole in the ozone layer, and hence driving the term into our heads like a stake to Dracula's heart, said it would happen by 1992! We're still here! Not too surprisingly, he is not considered a credible source by credible scientists. We are simply at the mercy of natural weather and climate patterns, despite how much we'd like to blame the world's "problems" on ourselves. To put it simply... this is hippie BS!
