Dürnstein (Austria) 4

This village is Dürnstein in der Wachau in Lower Austria on the Danube. This is the site of the castle where Richard the Lion Hearted was held captive by Duke Leopold because of their dispute during the Third Crusade. You'll remember in "Ivanhoe," Blondel, the loyal minstrel of King Richard going from castle to castle singing "My Heart Was a Lion," until he found King Richard at Dürnstein. The ransom and release of the king followed.
