I don't remember penny candy being $00.005 although I'm sure it was when I was a kid. I do remember getting 3 large candy bars for only $00.25. I also remember getting $1.00 for my allowance and it taking me about an hour to spend it at the store.

Yes and I also remember when my 6th grade teacher walloped me against the side of the head for dumping my 3x5's and filling my file box with 2-for-a-penny Joyva Raspberry Sticks. Law suit pending, so I can't say any more...

I remember penny candy being a whole penny. was not quite old enough to be around for the two for one. I like finding those old style candies that were around when I was kid, like kits, and the single hard candies. I think the Bazooka bubble gums were actually one penny. fun to come across those old candies from my childhood even if you pay though the nose for them now.

There's a place that I know of that sells penny candy STILL. It's in Oil City, PA but I forgot what the store is called.
