Yeah i remember these bicycles, but do not remember them when they were in their prime. I resell used bicycles on Craigslist, and some people still love those vintage cruisers. I just sold a Huffy 3 speed that i fixed which i found in the garbage. I gotta say those people have very good taste!

They were also heavy! I remember getting my bicycling merit badge for scouts. You had to do a 25 mile and a 50 mile trip. That was a chore with those old heavy bikes.

They could take a lot of damage however as steel is a lot tougher than the modern pot metals or aluminum.

you can still get bicycles in one speed. but as a kid we all had those one speed bikes and we did just fine with them. even when i was a teen I did not have one of those ten speeds.{have one how but they can be a pain the way the gears freeze up} those one speeds were fine.

I loved my spider bike.I rode that from about 7 or 8 years old to 16.(When you got taller,you'd just raise the seat)
