It was one of the top 5 names for my baby cousin, actually. She ended up going with another of her top 5's, Ian, though. I always thought this name was a good name for a son. It's not too common, which is one thing that sets it apart for me.

Good enough name, not too common not too strange. Came from the Bible well before Islam even existed.

I think Elijah is a nice name but I might be biased as it is my husband's middle name. However its been growing in popularity for a while now and I think it was top 30 last year- something to keep in mind.

Elijah is a cool sounding name, but I think its a little bit soft. Have you ever met a tough guy go by Elijah? NOPE...and the nickname Eli doesn't really cut it for me.
