Rex is too much of a dog's name. I wouldn't want to give my son a pet name, and then possibly have a pet with a legit name. That would mess with his self esteem too much.

Rex. Take a deep breath and say it. Have a drink or two and maybe talk yourself into it. It's different and kinda cool....I think at least. Of course everyone will think Tyrannasourus Rex, but that might be kinda cool for a little kid.
