The problem with Tartar sauce is that these days its hard to find enough Tartars to get the right consistency. As a result many people substitute Visigoths or Mongols with consequent decline in quality.

The only thing worse than processed fish sticks or fastfood fish sandwiches is the tartar sauce that people insist go with them.

If you have some fish that need spicing up, try this sauce. It really helps especially with something bad like fish sticks.

I have to admit I like it. Makes mediocre fish (like ordinary fried fish) palatable.
