I know I could probably be attacked for saying this, but I'm actually not that big on chocolate. Fudge is a good option, but not my first choice. My usual choices for ice cream sauce toppings are strawberry or cherry.

Remember, those of you who are old enough, about going to the Five and Dime and ordering a hot fudge sundae? They gave you first rate ice cream and then poured the hot fudge over it. That was sublime.
