i love apple sauce swirled in with plain yogurt and honey. the taste if fabulous. applesauce is also a great substitute for oil in baking. it tastes light and sweet instead of artery-clogging.

Good once in a while, but not too much of it. I'd rather have a plain apple.

The commercial stuff is awful, but if homemade and made from the right kind of apples, it can be great. Some varieties of green or yellow apples work well, I've never liked applesauce made from any variety of red apples.
