Growing up in the Atlanta area, Aaron was the main reason I came to love baseball, (when I still loved baseball). My whiffle ball swing, and later, my baseball and slow pitch softball swing, are all impersonations of Hank. The looping, relaxed practice swing...the high back elbow and snap of the wrist follow thru were all done while picturing Hank in my mind. My older brother had Aarons style of rounding the bases after a HR, the gait, arm swing and everything down pat. Have had the opportunity to meet him on a few occasions over the years. A true gentleman, and as the rating says, eminently deserving of the HOF.

Disciplined, consistent power hitter, probably the model for the type. Not a great glove, but well above average. Under the radar for a lot of his career, but when he hit the screens it seemed no one could talk about anything else.

Check out the RBI's. . .check out the total bases. . .and take note of his defense. . .Aaron is remembered for his home-runs, but he gets overlooked in conversations about being one of the top 5 ballplayers who ever lived. . .

As overqualified for mere entrance into the Hall as DaVinci would be for applying to Wendy's. Obvious 5 star guy.
