Crawford did put up Hall of Fame numbers, most notably, the career record for triples, 309, which will NEVER be broken. He had a 309 career batting average, and he missed the 3,000 hit club by 39. It should be noted that many other all-time greats also didn't join this club, for example: Babe Ruth, Rogers Hornsby, and Ted Williams.

A better player than most people realize, an RBI machine who also holds the all time triples career record, and was somewhat unfairly overshadowed by his teammate Cobb. A very powerful hiter, and one of the best in the A.L. for it's first 2 deacdes, quite deserving IMO.Would most likely have put up some huge totals had he played in the next generation instead of the deadball era.
