Best in the business. College guy at heart. NBA was a gig that he had to take based on it being the epitome of his profession. Make no mistake there's a new player in the PAC-10. He will win and he will win big..... In the 92-93 season he had a team in NO's that went 26-4 and finished 18-0 in the league. By the way that team was beat by Arizona in OT. Arizona had future first rounders Damon Stoudmaire, Chris Mills, Kalihd Reeves.... The point is Tim Floyd is a winner. USC is lucky to have him.

In his first season at USC, which bodes well for Trojan basketball because this guy is an unadulterated winner at the Division I collegiate level. Prior university head coaching gigs include Idaho, New Orleans and Iowa State. Everywhere he goes, he wins. Period. When I was living in Louisians, I saw him take a UNO team in his first season, that had no starter over 6'5", and win the regular season championship. He received a quality foundation of basketball knowledge as an assistant coach for Don Haskins at UTEP. Currently, he has the USC hoops squad playing well. They are a shoo-in for the NCAA Tournament in his first season at the helm at Southern Cal. And next season, the team will have a new on-campus arena which should help recruiting.
