 | Randyman (105) 03/05/2007 | After I was discharged from the Navy because of my hearing, I tried to get back in, only this time in the Marines. My recruiter went to bat for me and wrote several letters to some military and governmrnt officials and busted his behind trying to get me in, but in the end I was still 4F.

 | LastMessenger3 (40) 03/05/2007 | Not my piece of a pie. On the physical level alone I won't fit in well. I am a too much of a free spirit to be constantly controlled.

 | madamedragonlily (5) 06/05/2006 | If I was 20 years younger I would do this. this is at least something you can do with pride. It could show you what you are made of.

 | Donovan (133) 04/03/2006 | If I was younger I would consider it, I have strong respect for our Marines.

 | JohnSpina (18) 04/02/2006 | Three things working against me here:1.I am too old at 41.2.I am 4F(spinal cord injury+bladder incontinence)3.The Marines do not allow riff raff to join 'em.

 | kamylienne (78) 04/02/2006 | I could TRY, but 1) I don't believe I can meet the physical standards, and 2) I don't take orders too well.

 | oscargamblesfro (80) 04/01/2006 | I have respect for those who do, and some of my relatives have, but I'd fit in here about as well as Farrakhan at an Air Supply concert.

 | PzKpfw VI E (28) 03/19/2006 | More then likely, if I had the chance, I would.
The only reason I wouldn't is because I am:
- Canadian
- Too Young
- Against the war in Iraq, and I hate to see what is happening to those Marines who are breed to kill, but expected to be cops and be able to deferentiate between baby killers and regular civilians. It really isn't fair what those cats, and all those soldiers over there, are going through.

 | DumbBlondeCowgirl (23) 03/18/2006 | Nope, not me. I have no interest in joining the Marines.

 | Vudija (94) 02/11/2006 | No, although I had planned on going into the service straight out of high school. Didn't work out though; I have asthma (you have to be inhaler free for 2 years and have written permission from a doctor to join). Less than a week before my physical, I ended up with a severe cold and had to be prescribed and inhaler...there went that option...
