Not mentioned very much nowadays, but he hit over 500 homers lifetime, and while The Polo Grounds helped him greatly, he was a consistent power hitter with many fine seasons for The Giants from the late 20's until the 40's. When I was young, he was pretty high up the all-time homers list, and though he's been surpassed on that list by quite a few modern players, he certainly deserves his plaque.
