Donald M. Fraser (Minneapolis) 1980-1993 3

Received both an undergraduate and law degree at the University of Minnesota. Served in the Pacific during WWII. He was a federal congressman for many years but left his position when he ran for senator (unsuccessfully) in the late 70's. Not shortly thereafter, he was elected as the mayor of the largest city in his state and held the office for over a decade.
