This was a large group of Indians in the Northeast. They had been allied with the British as a result of the wars with France as noted by oscargamblesfro in his review. During the American Revolution, the majority kept their allegiance to the King and this was disastrous for them. The Sullivan Expedition finally broke their power in Western New York. New York has several Indian Reservations of Iroqouis.

A large group of Native Americans from upstate N.Y., allied with the British during the French-Indian wars, they never forgave the French when Champlin sided against them long before that I guess. One of the most powerful and socially/ legally complicated tribes of this continent. There are still reservations in upstate N.Y. please excuse the use of third person-oscargamblesfro's girlfriend is 1/4 Iroqouis, and he just had to get some nepotism on this list!
