One of the more exciting teams to watch this year. Toronto got serious in the off-season and rebuilt with everything in mind, and if injuries don't kill them like they did in the previous two (2) years, they're gonna surprise a lot of people (Boston's lost too much talent on all fronts, and the Yankees finally were thrown a tougher schedule). Their pitching remains the big "question mark": Burnett looks like a good pick-up, but he may be overly eager to prove himself and his doubters wrong; Lilly and Walker are still average; if Chacin and Schoeneweis falter out of the gate, trades should be tendered; IF (and that's a big "if") Halladay can come back from the broken leg and give 'em 12 wins, I predict they'll at least be in contention for the wild-card slot. Offensively, they're resembling their 80s "glory days" line-up, with a steady mix of veterans and youngsters alike. Overbay and Glaus were fantastic signings (and weren't traded away for a legitimate closer, either!); Aaron Hill and Alex Rios are future All-Star-caliber players to watch out for; they've got the underrated Reed Johnson at lead-off, Hinske and Wells for RBIs, and the tandem of Zaun and Molina behind the plate; nice bench, too, with the streaky power of Catalanotto and singles-machine Russ Adams. Their schedule starts off tough, but then gets real mushy down the stretch. If they do manage to get in, they'll never make it past the first round (the Indians are more stable in the clutch, and the White Sox still have too much speedy talent). All things considered, I can eventually see a World Series banner unfurling north of the border again with this roster.

They have some question marks on offense, but their pitching should keep them in contention late.
