It looks tacky, when it is worn by someone, who isn't in the army or navy.

Don't get me wrong, I do think military attire looks very nice. But I also believe that unless one is in the military or has been in the military, it shouldn't be worn. It almost seems like to me a misrepresentation of oneself.
