degree. But I also believe campaigning from the pulpit is a
no-no.

Every politician is a religious person one way or the other to some extent, and every religious person is a politician, one way or the other to some extent. And, to the chagrin of many, our country was build on Judeo Christian values and morals. Denying this is denying the very nation we live in.

I promise you that Jerry would have no problem separating Mosque and State. Believe me, keeping religion out is OK with him so long as it is the right one(s).
What a dumb ass.

 | GenghisTheHun (181) 03/16/2006 | Well I'm not buying the Devil's influence, necessarily, but ol' Jerry is right. Religion is a form of moral action. Secularism is just the mirror image of religion, and nobody argues against secularism and politics mixing. It is perfectly proper, logically, for religion and politics to mix. The prohibition comes against establishement of religon. Why shouldn't a person determine his political stance by his religion or lack of, for that matter?

 | oscargamblesfro (82) 03/15/2006 | By this buffoon's standards, it's actually not all that outrageous. Next thing he'd say is that James Madison had a pink purse ...I could picture him scrubbing $ off of Hamilton, Adams, Jefferson, etc had he been around then.

 | CastleBee (89) 03/15/2006 | Then again, maybe the idea came from God - to keep fanatical wack jobs like Jerry Falwell from running amok.
