I like House of Shields. It's sort of the unofficial home of the Web 2.0 crowd, and it's got a really nice old feel to it with big old booths, and wood paneling everywhere. Sometimes they have live music, and it's easy access to the Montgomery Bart station.
**Update** Don't go to House of Shields to see live music. The venue is just not made for this sort of thing. They have a tiny upstairs that holds about 30 standing people where they cram in the band. I think they should scrap the live music thing...
