Although it's not sex, it is rightfully illegal.

Its very scary to know that someone is watching you or spending every waking moment tracing your movement and you just simply don't know who they are. It almost forces you to live your life differently and this can be so frustrating as your not doing anything else, but living your life the way you want to. Over a period of time the victim can suffer some serious mental consequences due to someone trying to ruin their life. Some stalkers have taken their obsession with their victim too seriously and before you know it has taken the life of the person their stalking. Now I ask you is this as serious as rape? Because people this is a different kind of rape, this is emotional.

I included this because the motivations of the crime are more often than not sexually inspired. However, it's possible to stalk and harass for completely asexual purposes. When it is sexual, it's probably closer to a peeping tom type situation, so this probably should have been merged with that choice. But again, somebody rated this crime lower than a 5. Was that to distinguish between more serious crimes such as rape, or does somebody out there believe that such actions might on some occassion be warranted?
