01/07/2008 | Food is good, very much like and old diner. Nothing inventive or different. If you're in the mood for meatloaf or pie, this is the place. The prices are fabulous.

08/19/2001 | Earl Abel's is one of the oldest restaurants in San Antonio and used to be open 24 /7, used to be the place to go after the late movie or theater. Good down home cooking, nothing fancy and wonderful pies for dessert! But times have changed and this restaurant has been replaced by other new restaurants here in San Antonio, it is not open 24 /7 anymore. Lot of people new to San Antonio know nothing about it. Another landmark gone!
