 | Drummond (54) 02/21/2006 | Dr. Weil suggests that being outside during a solar eclipse leads to an altered state. According to Disinfo, he is a "self-described overt eclipse freak who tries to view as many as possible. He claims to experience a high, and claims others have told him they do as well. He theorizes that it has something to do with the "unearthly light," the fellings of unreality and dreamliness, and the "complete uniqueness and majesty of the event."
"Time did not flow," he wrote. "I have no way of comparing those three and a half minutes of clock time to any other three and a half minute interval I have experienced."
