02/23/2006 | He's an admittedly odd little dude; quirky, strange, somewhat self-absorbed etc. But he's an excellent songwriter and he's even had some pretty good songs himself. That thing with the symbol and "the Artist" etc. had to do with a feud he was having with his record company. Something about their having control of his name and his image. Anyway, I don't think he belongs on this list. I mean, Courtney Love is on this list.

02/22/2006 | I like most of Prince's stuff and he's quite the performer, still selling out shows in a matter of seconds. But the name change, and the symbol, and requesting that he be called the artist...I don't like it when guys think they're larger and life because they have some talent and cash.
