Tony Orlando & Dawn is one of the best acts in the business. Apparently those with the lack of knowledge and taste of music for this great group is the ones that put them here, they should listen to them more they don't know what their missing...

Tony Orlando & Dawn should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, not Shame! If it wasn't for Tony & Dawn their might not be any yellow ribbons round the trees and on bumper stickers, and that some loved one is away at war or other reasons and also other purposes that people tie ribbons for. I had a dream come true of meeting Tony, Joyce, Telma and Pam in 2005 in Las Vegas they were promoting their TV shows on DVD and the new never before Christmas Reunion cd they are unbelieveable people and class act. If you don't have the Christmas Reunion cd you are missing a treat, when you listen to their new Christmas Reunion cd and then you will see why all the Tony Orlando and Dawn fans want then on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Please have Tony Orlando and Dawn in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Please I beg of you. They are a true wonderful people and still have a wonder singing voices. Tony, Joyce, Telma and Pam We love you!!!

Tony Orlando and Dawn deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of FAME, not Shame!

I had the honor of working with this fine man for a few years in the 90's. It was a dream come true for me! He was my idol when I was a kid!! Here it was years later, and I was working with him every day! He knew my name - he was kind and friendly to all of the crew - and he was more than just the 'superstar' that I remembered from television. He was a genuine person with more talent than most of the new generation rolled together.

He knows how to work an audience to a frenzy, while entertaining the crew just as much - we were never bored doing his show! His voice is as strong as it ever was!! And although we've all aged a few years since his show was on tv every week - he's still one suave, sexy, vibrant entertainer...

He's an American Icon who's brought much deserved attention to so many Veterans. He's given them the praise and glory they should have gotten all along, and pretty much single-handedly starting the largest Veterans' Day Celebration in the Nation! His songs are all fun, melodic and when you see his show in person - you'll never lack for entertainment!!!

I miss working with him and hope he'll return to the stage full-time soon! I'm proud to know him and honored to have worked with him!

Tony Orlando & Dawn, the #1 trio of the 70s, belongs in the Hall of Fame (Rock and Vocal Group)not Shame. They are one of 4 acts to have ALL their singles chart. Most of their singles were Top Ten between the Hot 100 and Adult Comtemporary Charts. Tony Orlando's roots are in the NYC Alden building. Tony Orlando is responsible for the development of Blood Sweat & Tears, James Taylor, Barry Manilow, Melissa Manchester, and Bette Midler. Dawn's roots are in Motown and Stax where their voices graced hit records by Marvin Gaye, the Four Tops, Issac Hayes and countless others. They have also backed up Freda Payne, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, George Clinton/Parliment/Funkadelic, Dionne Warwick, Bootsy Collins, and Rory Block to name a few. They are still one of the industry's top backup groups. Whoever nominated Tony Orlando & Dawn needs to go back and LISTEN, READ, and LEARN.

If it can be termed Rock, it's what I would call extremely silly Pop Rock. This crew were top purveyors of the kind of highly irritating and annoying lyrics and tunes that get so stuck in your head you want to scream. They could use their music to drag confessions out of hardened criminals and terrorists. More sappy than seriously shameful.

Being an inaugural choice of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame is the WORST we can come up with? Oh no, they're not getting off so easy, not for the years of auditory abuse I suffered as a Garanimal wearing tyke back when they were huge. This bunch needs to go back with Sherman and Mr. Peabody in the way-back machine, who'll push them out the door, slam it, and go back to their own time... dropping this crew off in say 1692 Salem. ASAP.
