02/23/2006 | But what about all those other reasons that started to stream out as it became apparent that WMDs were a myth? Wasn't it about the children Tony? Wasn't it about the gassings in 1988, when America and Britain were dead silent because Hussein was an ally in the cold war and a took against Iran (to whom we were also selling weapons clandestinely)?
But hey, Hussein could have stopped the invasion. All he had to do was cough up those weapons. If he didn't have them, well, he should have gotten some!
