03/09/2006 | A poignant and brutally honest comment from one of our young people serving in Iraq.Besides death and permanent physical disabilities,one of the other horrors of War is the psychological damage experienced by many who see battle up close and personal.I have veterans in my family,as well as my circle of friends and I worked at a State Psych. Ward where we took care of guys who had post traumatic stress disorder to the point that they NEVER were able to adjust to civilian life again.This is just as hard,if not harder,on the soldiers and their families as death or physical disability. I hope and pray that this does not happen to Pvt.Lori.

02/23/2006 | I concur totally with Drummond's comment and we should amend the Constitution to require a basic historical knowledge of the Middle East before we go galloping into there in the future.

02/23/2006 | The best way to "support" the soldiers at this point is to start bringing them home. Maybe the Arab nations can put together a pan-Arabic force that won't invite so vehement a jihad. It's about the only hope, given this morning's news.
Now the Sunnis and Al Qaeda know exactly what they have to do to destabilize the country.
