02/24/2006 | I imagine they can be grumpy, they are understaffed, underpayed, the job entails some very unpleasant things. I know that I would not want this job and would take some of the other grumpy employee jobs on this list before I would work in a nursing home. It is sad though because the grumpy ones are taking it on elderly people who cannot defend themselves. I have been in nursing homes to visit. I have seen the good and the bad. and some of it can be very bad. there are some nice compassionate employees, and some who should not be anywhere near these poor old people.
