Not sure whose rose-coloured vision of adulthood includes lazing in bed until noon on Saturday and then basking in a day of leisure. For most grown-ups, that window was open for about 24 months and then they got down to grown-up lives with grown-up interests which include making more productive use of your day off.

Saturday mornings were most definitely for sleeping until I had a friggin' kid. I love my son, but I don't enjoy his wake-up at 7 AM routine. There used to be a time in my life where I would work Friday nights past midnight...come home and have a few drinks before falling asleep at 3 or 4 AM. I'd wake up sometime around 11-12, have lunch, and be off to work in a few hours. I loved that life. So there was a time when Saturday mornings were for sleeping and I wasn't quite a kid. However, I wouldn't say I was grown up either. Now that I'm married with a child, Saturday mornings don't allow for enough sleep as I'd like.

To tell you the truth, I never sleep in. I like to try to stay on a regular time schedule.

Despite the fact that I don't drink often, waking up early on a Saturday feels like a hangover.

I do like to sleep in on a Saturday. Not real late but it is nice to get up when I want to instead of answering to an alarm. but that may not be exclusive to getting older. MY kids both love to sleep in on a Saturday.

Nope, I still wake up every Saturday morning to watch cartoons, including the new episodes of Pokemon. Saturday Morning cartoons have been a tradition of mine for over 10 years, and I don't plan on changing that any time soon! :D

When I was a kid, this was true, but not anymore. I work six days a week and if I do get a Saturday off....well Im still up early. Sleeping in to me means getting up at 8:00 instead of 6:30.

Not sure about this one.. I used to be able to sleep in, not so much any more - regardless of what went on the night before. I never realized how many hours were in a Saturday until I got old...

After a long week of waking up at some seriously unsociable hours and going through the morning rush hour via public transport consisting of pushing, shoving, squeezing and pleasant smells of stale alchohol on commuters from the night before or repungent cheap perfumes, Saturday mornings are just too golden. So when my neighbours kids start kicking their football against the fence at 9am and I start yelling out of my window I really don't feel bad at all.

. . . more like, "Saturday mornings are for RECOUPERATING"!

This is a joke right, my parents spent most of my Saturday mornings trying to get me up now I can't sleep in.

They always were... I slept in, missed every cartoon known to man and then headed outside to play baseball with my brother and the neighbors. I always hated staying indoors...

not if you have to work at the largest independent tire center in the west, your up bright and early to take on any challenges that present themselves.

The paper route ruined many of my sat. mornings anyway. . .good practice for the real world. . .
