I think it's funnier that my dad tells me the same joke several times in one week, chuckling and then repeating the punchline repeatedly while laughing harder to explain to me just what's so funny.

Actually, my moms jokes (to me) were alwayd funny. The diffrenece now, is that she can tell certain kinds of jokes that she wasn't able to tell (or say around) me before.

Actually my Dad's jokes were always funny. He is a great joke teller, in fact I have told him jokes and six months later he would tell it and I wouldn't recognise it at first.
