One time there were a whole bunch of dead ants in my Lucky Charms but I didn't notice it until I had already poured the milk. Since I didn't want it to go to waste, I gave it to my secretary but I told her the black specks were flavor crystals or something so she wouldn't freak out and throw it away.

When I get a box of cereal, that's exactly what I expect to be in there... however, a coupon or two might be nice. :-)

...And less cereal, at that. Like Trebon1038 mentions, I can remember the "record" on the box too. My memory of one that came out was a Puffed Rice box and a Monkees song.

Ok, Im going to really date myself now! I remember when they put 45 records on the box...the Archies songs....they actually played a couple of times before the cardboard records wore out! Now that is a creepy memory!

i still buy a combination on cereals. I know at my age i should be concentrating on those fiber cereals but i defeat the purpose buy pouring on sugar anyway. every now and then when we buy those cereal boxes that are sweet tasting there are some kind of toy in it. usually because some kiddie movie has just come out and they are promoting them by putting little toys in the box. we do not buy the cereal for the toy of course since my "kids" are older. they still like to take the toys though. they would be ticked if they knew i wrote this.

... and when you find yourself actually giving passing consideration to the sugar content in the food you shovel down your throat in the morning. Lord, do I wish I could burn calories like I did when Apple Jacks, Froot Loops and Cap'n Crunch were cornerstones of my diet. Unfortunately, that was many pounds, hair follicles and years ago.

Actually finding toys in the cereal boxes is on its way to becoming a thing of the past. Now all you get is a picture of a toy on the box that misleads children into believing that its inside but when in fact its a way for the cereal company to get you to pay out another $5.99 +shipping and handling for something they used to give the consumer for free as a means to get you to choose their cereal.

The cereal you eat has no sugar, but plenty of fibre.

What a rip!! NO toys!! The end of days is near!!

And there are no cartoon characters on the front of the box, and the tv commercials for the cereal feature middle aged men who have a satisfied look on their faces because they just had a good movement.
