You could always just ask your friends not to have children for the sake of your vanity. It worked for me!

I have a kid and I'd say it makes me feel grown-up, but not old. Now when younger friends of mine start having grand-kids, that will be a different story.

I had a few friends who had kids when they were practically kids so that didn't seem like much at the time. I have friends now though who are grandparents...and they had their kids later....scarey indeed.

I must be really old because some of my friends are grandparents now. hard to believe I am already at that age. shows how fast life goes by.

That didn't phase me as much as the first time one of my contemporaries became a Grandma!

I remember going to see a concert of a famous R & B band in my late teens that was over here ten years ago at Wembley Arena. I knew I was getting older when a local radio station had the band back over for a reunion concert and some kid was trying to win the tickets for his Mum for a competition entitled "Why should your parents go and see Jodeci"? I almost cried.

What a great list to rate; especially in light of the fact that it's my 24th birthday today and I'm beginning to feel older, at least in sentiment! Yes, some of my friends are already married with kids. It's just one of those things that make you think about how fast time passes.

How about you have friends who have kids who have kids.

I have a hard time finding any of my friends left who don't have kids!

I ran into an old friend not too long ago where this situation came about. I hadn't seen her since middle school, and we're both now 19-20 years old. The girl had 3 children; I was shocked!

Try having friends who have great grandkids, if you really want to feel old.
