Slutskaya was overrated; not bad but overrated. She had incredible perseverance to come back from a serious illness to win the 2005 World title in strong fashion, and having two Olympic medals is certainly nothing to sneeze at. She was very physically strong and flexible at the same time, but artistically she was uninspiring. Also, I didn't appreciate how far she pitched her back forward on her stroking, although she did have good speed.

It's funny that Irina and Michelle Kwan share the same silver/bronze finishes in their Olympics. Slutskaya could have won if she didn't fell on her triple loop and have a more inspiring program.
