An interesting counter- list might be one that looks at whether actors who came close to landing roles would have better or worse than those who got them. I still shudder to think that the studio executives lobbied hard for Ryan O'Neal instead of Pacino in The Godfather. Had they done that, and had I been an adult at that time, and even though I'm just a quarter, I'd have joined The Italian Anti - Defamation League IN A HEARTBEAT. Ryan O'Neal as Michael Corleone would have been sickening.
