If I didn't know for a fact that the employee didn't have a daughter (or a pregnant one for that matter) I'd assume it's the truth, just because I'd feel bad if I asked them to work and they DID miss the birth of their grandchild...or, the daughter actually gave birth at home alone because she didn't have that ride.

DRUMMOND I can understand that hun, but the "reason" sounds kinda funny instead of just saying "I have a family emergency or somethin like that. Just my opinion though.

Oh come on Ms. Boogie. It's his/her daughter in labor. Give him/her the day off, regardless of whether the daughter needs a ride.
