I really hated my old best friend's wife. At his wedding, I recall talking to another of his guests, and we shared the same sentiment about how she's totally going to wreck him. Anyway, to each his own.

Depends on the person. I'm usually honest about this but I know some people who can't handle the truth and I don't want to hurt their feelings. My husband and I never liked our sister-in-law. But we didn't want to hurt his brother's feelings. But we didn't lie about it either. In fact, I think we probably talked about our feelings way too much. Anyway, we turned out to be right about her. We validate that fact by ripping her to shreds now. (Don't think I'm a meanie, she promised to punch me in the face when she next sees me so... trust me, she's a bitch.)

If its a buddy of mine I wont say much as long as he's happy. Unless its really obvious she is screwing him over I would tell him what I really think. As for a female friend of mine, I always tell them what I think of their bf's, and 9 times out of 10 I am always right about them.

Well who wouldn't lie in this situation. What am I supposed to say? "You ought to call her Sherman, 'cause she looks just like a tank" is not very diplomatic.

they are nice

I dont have any problem showing my dislike for a friends choice of mates. I'm not usually wrong. I try in the beginning for a minute but quickly for an opinion.
Meghan861 08/08/2008
It's none of my business anyways if they want to screw up their life

"Dude, how'd she get to work, the broom's still in the closet"
Falling 4 HIM♥ 08/06/2008
My friends should know the truth. So I'd be the one telling them.

I generally keep my opinion to myself. Recently, a friend of mine got divorced, and THAT's when I told her I'd always thought her ex was a jerk, and that she was well rid of him.
ValkyrieVoice 08/04/2008
Why lie? Especially if you've been asked for your opinion?
Damn it, its me ?! Wayne(fc/gngr) 08/01/2008
lol depends but i likes the womenz and i will "bend the truth" lol about a freinds girl friend, cuz if i dont it would be uncomfortable for the friend around me.....i've seen it happen and its stupid so the less they know the better. I wouldn't take someones chick anywayz lol

NO, if that person is your friend then no matter what you say they will remain your friend...now that doesn't mean you go on a full frontal assault and destroy the boy/girlfriend on every level...but if you see things that are troubling or alarming it is your duty as a TRUE FRIEND to quietly point it out...
MoonRayne707 07/29/2008
sometimes there's a difference between telling the truth and hurting someone's feelings.
KRISTYN718 07/29/2008
u gotta make them feel good about something right?
~BRENDA~ 07/28/2008
I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
*~Jennifer~* 07/27/2008
I am always honest about this...
Alyse 07/27/2008
I might not point out what I dont like about them and I might just tell you how much I cant stand them..all depends on how good a friend of mine you are and how much it hurts your feelings. If your one of my tough bitch friends Ill tell you what I truely think of your boyfriend!
Brenden 07/26/2008
I don't really care.
Lauramanaen 07/25/2008
You don't want to tell your friend that he or she's significant other is a dog or gets around a lot. That would not be nice
LastMessenger3 01/22/2007
I don't lie about it. I call it as I see it. I told my friend the other day that his girlfriend is a total bitch.
kolby1973 01/18/2007
The only time this has happened is if the boyfriend hits on me...and then of course I speak up...otherwise I keep my opinions to myself...
CanadaSucks 03/03/2006
I've told my friends exactly what I felt of the winner or loser they were dating. . .caused a few hurt feelings but solidified far more relationships.
Djahuti 03/03/2006
I try to be tactful, but if I think my friend is making a mistake I usually tell them.Only once, though. After that,I figure they're the ones who have to live with it.
souljunkie 03/03/2006
I will avoid the topic all together. I dont like any of the band wives, and neither does my wife. I think the guys pretty much all married poorly, (life sucking, no job keeping lazy white trash) but Ive never been the type to say so, nor will I say I like them when I dont. Im polite to them when they are around and stay clear of them all I can.
numbah16tdhaha 03/02/2006
I hold back some criticisms, but if I think somebody is just wrong for my friend, I hold nothing back.
trebon1038 03/02/2006
If my friends ask me in private I tell the truth...in public I may sugar coat it a little as not to embarress them.
Vudija 03/02/2006
I try to stay out of this situation, but all of my friends know that if they ask me; I will tell them. I have never lied, even if I had blind hatred for their sig. other. If you don't want the truth, don't ask me...
