Bowling's fun, but I'm really not very good at it. I usually manage to break 100, but I also consider anything over 120 to be pretty good. I see no need to lie about it.

I've only been bowling once or twice when I was a kid (one time it was a class field trip and the other time it was a church youth group function), and that's about the size of it. I'm not a bowler, so there is no bowling average to lie about (and even if that were the case, I wouldn't lie). And that's the honest-to-goodness truth -- as best as I can remember it.

"It's in the double-digits." Like the amount of shots Ted Kennedy can kill in forty minutes. I just don't get lying- the truth is far more interesting, challenging, humorous, and (in most cases) more dangerous.

The only time this mattered is when I was on a league and it was all documented so no chance of lying about it. I was proud of the fact that I got most improved for the league though!

Unless you are competitive you don't really know the exact average anyways, but I think most people claim about 5 to 10 higher than they throw.
