I don't even remember my GPA from high school or college. Although I love to learn I found school boring. I always got an A in English, always got a C or D in math. Grades went down if a lot of class participation was required as I have a moderate to severe case of social anxiety disorder. So I never felt my grades reflected my knowledge of a subject. As far as I was concerned, as long as I passed I was golden.

Goes right along with lieing on your resume. Not a good thing to lie about. Really the key thing is if you graduated?

What's the point? Anyone who really needs to know will ask for your transcript anyway.

I was always very honest with this. In high school when others were talking about their GPAs, I would happily share that I had my 3.0, and that I did it without working extra hard or cheating. I know there were some in the 4.0 range who looked better on paper, but they couldn't claim to have done it honestly.

I was very apathetic about my grades in high school and couldn't be bothered with such boring things as GPA's - as I recall. College was a different story and I discovered that I was way more capable than I had once thought. It also helps to be the one footing the bills. By that time, I wouldn't have needed to lie if I'd been inclinded to.

Only if you're ashamed of it. . .

If I ever did, it was not on purpose as I didn't always know what I made to the exact point. I was always in the range of 2.9 - 3.3 depending on what classes I was taking that semester. By the end of my senior year when all of it was added together; I came out at 3.1 though. I could have done far better (although 3.1 isn't bad) I was just highly bored and un-interested in school. I found it too easy and simply hated doing the work.

I never really lived up to my potential in school so my GPA was pretty average, but I never had reason to lie about it.

This is done to save face. When I tell people I have a 3.8 I always see them create a tenth or two that I know isn't there.
