Since the age limit was fairly low when I first decided to imbibe, I never had to resort to fake ID's back when. However, these days, when it comes to admitting my age, I only lie if you consider the “sin of omission” a type of lie and then, only on the Internet. Though, I find that as time goes by this is less and less of an issue. It's actually kind of liberating.

I've never lied about my age. I'm 26 now, so I'm still too young to worry about feeling old, and even when I tried to buy alcohol when I was underage I didn't bother lying about it. I just went up to the bar or register, and if they sold it to me, I took it, if they carded me, then I just left.
Jaime8376 09/22/2008
Cause I forget most of the time. I was 27 for a couple of years!

No sense lying any more. Everyone can see that I am over 50 if you look at my picture.
DENA256 09/12/2008
I AM OLD

Nope. I only lied when I was a kid to buy booze. Most of the time it worked and I was drunk nearly every day from the age of 14 until 17 when I escaped my family and no longer felt the need to drink to excess.

Nope. I only lied when I was a kid to buy booze. Most of the time it didn't work.

Absolutely no reason to lie about your age. I'm currently 44, and proud of it.
ValkyrieVoice 08/04/2008
Can't lie about my age, no matter what or who's asking.
Datz ChiNkzz 2 Uu, BaBii BoO! 08/03/2008
when i was underage for something.
irishgit 08/02/2008
Some people make this a regular habit.
Personally, I haven't bothered since I was trying to get served when I was underaged.

long9562om 07/30/2008
When you are say 19, you might bump it up a few years, but once you hit 30, you start becoming 29 every year, lol
Paula5816 07/29/2008
Every wrinkle and laugh line I've earned, gotta take the good with the bad...
MoonRayne707 07/29/2008
not yet at least
KRISTYN718 07/29/2008
no need to anymore!
Astromike 07/28/2008
I think more women tend to do this then men lol.
MissPackRat4Je sus 07/28/2008
No reason. There's nothing wrong with having been born 34 years (and some months) ago. All I know is I'm going to stand on 34 until the day I actually turn.... well.... 35.
~BRENDA~ 07/28/2008
I'd lie more if I could get away with it
*~Jennifer~* 07/27/2008
I have lied about it before but now that I'm completely legal there's no need to lie anymore.
Alyse 07/27/2008

I guess women are the worst offenders on this one. Though I don't know why
Mad Hatter 01/18/2007
I haven't had a reason to. My future in-laws don't seem to have a problem with my age. At least, not anymore.
beachgirl 03/04/2006
If you are comfortable with who & what you are, there is absolutely NO reason to lie about something as silly as your age. Love yourself & grow older gracefully!
EschewObfuscat ion 03/03/2006
I can't remember the last time I've spoken about my age. I had a funny incident today, had a meeting with an older (slightly) woman, our companies are involved in a joint venture, I met her for the first time this morning. I estimated her age to be about 60-62, I'm 52. As our discussion ended, I put my top coat on, the collar of my suitcoat got tangled with it and she reached over and straightened it, saying, "it's the grandmother in me. I have grandchildren your age. " I smiled and thanked her, not reacting visibly to her comment. But, as I was leaving, I couldn't help but think "one of us is way off in our estimation of ages. "
Djahuti 03/03/2006
Not something I've ever lied about, but I guess other people may.Who cares?
Bird808 03/03/2006
I've done this once to get a job as I don't look my age (29) I look about 19 and believe me the amount of prejudices that women suffer due to their age is just UNREAL. I'm proud to look so youthful at 29 and I'm never doing this again.
souljunkie 03/03/2006
Never. Im lucky enough to be carrying my age very well. But I am starting to fight my age a little. A little "Just for Men" never hurts. LOL.
JohnSpina 03/02/2006
I do not lie about my age.I tell people that I am 25.Of course,I forget to include weekends...PS I am 40.
numbah16tdhaha 03/02/2006
I ain't got a thing to lie about. Every time I say "I'm 27" they always shoot back "I wouldn't have thought you were more than 23" and I feel good about it. If I shaved the goatee thing off I'd look 19!
trebon1038 03/02/2006
A lot of people do this but I never found reason to lie about my age.
Vudija 03/02/2006
Even if I wanted to lie about my age, no one would believe me. The lady at the gas station swears I'll be carded until I'm 40
