I often use this move or if white, a modification i.e. p-K4; B-B4; then QP-Q3--a strong center!

One of the oldest recorded openings it is one of the most effective as witnessed by its popularity with masters like Kasparov and Fischer. An aggressive start by white, it allows an immediate attack and an early castling move.
