An opening normally used at the master levels of the game, in which black battles for the centre off the queen's-bishop file, leading to an unbalanced formation and host of complicating factors.It does not, contrary to popular belief, involve having a big guy called Guido put a .38 slug in the back of your opponent's head.

Very effective, however requires a great deal of study and theory, so I usually play 1...e5 as black
