 | HistoryFan (102) 03/02/2006 | This happened to me when I was working in college. It was a busy day at our fast food kiosk and I was feeling incredibly lethargic at the time and didn't feel like talking to anyone so I came off as rude to a few customers.
Before they canned me, the manager told me I should find work where there isn't so much stress (he felt that I couldn't handle jobs that require a lot of stress and multi-tasking).
I brought this up with a career counselor and she told me that I was ill-suited for that kind of thing because I am very introverted (according to personality tests). And she's right; I can't work in a job where there's a lot of multi-tasking involved. I'm the kind of person that needs to take things one step at a time.
I have also been told that future employers wouldn't really hold this against me unless I was going to go work in fast food again...LOL.
