United States 4

Looks like I have to bring the USA's rating down a bit. They performed well at times, but certainly were not one of the better teams in the tournament. In the 2nd round, they not only lost to Mexico and Korea, but some could argue that they should have lost to Japan as well if not for a bad decision by the umpires.

United States 5

After their first game against Mexico in Pool B, the United States showed that they are not only a good team with offensive and defensive dominance, but a classy team to boot. Their talent is extremely deep, look at some of these names: Chipper Jones, Roger Clemens, Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr, Alex Rodriguez. The management is equally top notch with the likes of Buck Martinez and Ken Griffey Sr. Most of the players are optimistic, take pride in their nation, and put aside their normal team-rivalry relationships. I definitely pick the US in the top 4, if not the top 2! USA! USA!
