Good reviews by the reviewers below, the 4 I give it is for the powerful imagery and not for the 4 star rating as 'classy': as this actually is the famous photo of The Hindenburg disaster in '38.

This album cover cover set the stage for a band that, through an anachronisctic image, attempted to make clear its place in music and, as such, the cover fringes great artistry. The precise angled composition of the ship (against a landing dock reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower) in stark contrast against the unadorned white background make it special.

Actually.Keith Moon told the band that would become Led Zep that they would "Go over like a lead baloon",meaning they would do WELL.The statement inspired them to name the band Lead Zeppelin,which was shortened to LED. As far as the album cover art goes,which was what we are suppose to rate here,I'd give it a 3.
