03/12/2006 | The very smell of rotten eggs. I actually inhaled a little bit of sulfur during a chemistry experiment in a college chem. class. I was okay but the feeling is nasty.

03/06/2006 | Sulfur is one of the components of black powder (gunpowder). The Chinese discovered the mixture, it's said, and this invention changed the world.
The mixture is 75% chacoal (carbon), 15% sulfur, and 10% saltpeter, (potassium nitrate, KNO3).
