Texas better show up against Penn. This is not a typical Ivy League crew. They have a guard named Ibi Jabaar who would be all conference in just about any league in the country. They played Duke and Nova very tough this year as well (in fact they played Duke a heck of a lot tougher than UT did.) This will be an interesting game - unfortunately, UT will end up being too big and too strong, but like I said, they better show up...

. . .love smart teams. . .but PENN will have to live with the satisfaction that the thugs that beat them will wind up working for them later. . .remember the Northwestern cheer- "It's alright! It's okay! They're gonna work for US someday!"

Ivy Leagues aren't known for their basketball prowess, and I don't think Penn will matchup very well with Texas athletically. Should be a short trip for the Quakers.

On contrare Z-but. In the 1970s, Penn was a force. They made the elite eight in 1971 and 1972. In fact, the Villanova team that beat them 90-47 in 1971 later had their title vacated for recruiting violations, so Penn was a final 4 by proxy. Penn actually did make the Final 4 in 1979. But Michigan State (with Magic Johnson) demolished them in the Final 4 semis. Penn hasn't done much lately. But they always play well in the Big Dance, even in defeat.
