This is true. I'm an okay looking guy and never had a problem finding female company. Once I joined the military and put that uniform on, things changed. In short, I received attention from women both in quality and quantity far surpassing my means. Also, once you got to the point in the forces where you had a few souls to worry about, invariably the young females would develop a puppydog crush on their instuctors - and we had treated them terribly at times as part of their training!

Only threw this into the mix because of Kissinger's "power is the ultimate aphrodesiac" quote. In The Year of Living Dangerously, the character Billy Kwan countered that poverty is the ultimate aphrodesiac.
