 | Djahuti (54) 03/09/2006 | This is a very well written book, presenting a balanced view of Garcias life. The author met and interviewed J.G. on several occasions, and has been very resourceful in revealing many facets of this enigmatic musician and band leader. He doesn't pretty up the drug use or abuse,or his rocky love life-but he does not wallow in it either, giving plenty of attention to the music that virtually WAS this man's life. One of the most readable, enjoyable biographies I've read in years.
