Guys,
Don't believe these silly urban legends. Look up the facts for yourselves. In case you don't want to, here they are:
Under Arizona Revised Statutes, 13-3601, a person convicted of domestic violence one time must complete a violent offender treatment program and pay the costs. A second offense within sixty MONTHS results in supervised probation and possible incarceration. A third offense within sixty MONTHS crosses the line into aggravated domestic violence and results in a minimum 4-month jail term. A fourth offense within sixty months results in a minimum 8-month jail term with no possibility of parole or pardon. Domestic violence is any dangerous criminal act (such as assault or battery) where the parties are related in certain ways defined in the statute.
So don't despair when you read about things like this. Nine times out of ten, they're completely false.
